Updated 4-21-20 Infectious Disease Policy in effect until further notice.
- If anyone in your home is home sick please reschedule your cleaning. If in doubt we request you reschedule.
- Having your house cleaned can help prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus. The COVID-19 virus spreads by contact with contaminated surfaces, but the most common way it is spread is person to person contact. Our cleaning staff cleans hi contact areas and can disinfect them as well (see disinfection below). Our staff is typically cleaning non occupied residential clients. On occupied homes we ask what everyone still practice social distancing and remain at least 6 feet from other people.
- Invoices will be sent before the work is complete so that it can be paid electronically before the end of the service. If it is paid before services are complete we will not take payment in person.
- We ask that our staff and clients maintain social distancing. If you can stay in a room that will not be cleaned or cleaned first this is preferred so that we can maintain the recommended distance. Please help us by keeping at least 6 feet away from your cleaning professional.
- We will not send a sick employee into a client’s home. Employees with any symptoms will be sent home immediately. We reserve the right to temperature check any employee at the beginning of their day.
- To protect our employees and other clients, we will not clean homes if anyone in the home has a respiratory illness, fever, or flu like symptoms within 14 days of service. After 14 days and a temperature check we will resume services.
- Cleaning technicians will be issued gloves and mask each week. Our new policy states we will wear a mask for all customer contact and in any occupied home.
- If requested, we can have our staff wear shoe covers. The CDC has advised that floor is a very low risk transmission route for viruses. Cleaners are given enough shoe covers each week for each house they are assigned.
- Cleaning technicians will be required to wash hand with soap and water upon entering the home (if not wearing gloves) (please remind them if they forget) and apply hand sanitizer when leaving at their vehicle. Please have a hand washing station set up with disposable towels. Please allow them to re-wash hands as often as they feel necessary, even if this means getting a cleaned sink wet again. Our glove policy states that gloves will be changed once we step out of the house and not worn to a company vehicle.
- If you set out your own vacuum, mop, and vacuum our staff will use it. If you message us prior to the cleaning, we will leave our floor tools in our vehicle. Floor tools must be set by front door or in kitchen. Our staff will not assume you want you to use them if we are not informed.
- Disinfectant use: If you have us use a disinfectant or sanitizing product on food prep surfaces it must be rinsed with water before food touches the surface. Furthermore, we do not recommend the products be used on food preparation surfaces unless you plan on washing counters with water prior to use.
- Customers who wish for us to use EPA registered sanitizing and disinfectant products must sign a waiver and pay a fee. Application to already touched surfaces will be done free of charge on house cleaning if the customer supplies the product. If the product is a bleach product it must remain in the room, it's going to be used in. If we are using be customers disinfectant, we must use it on a surface we have already agreed to clean. In addition, if it's your product you must verify what surfaces it is safe to use on and inform our staff. Even though a product may claim to sanitize or disinfect, we do not guarantee complete disinfection or sanitization.
- Our cleaners already have access to a PH neutral disinfectant, but it's effectiveness against human Corona virus is not proven. BECO AF 315
